Summary:

You are being re-directed to instructions on how to update Symantec AntiVirus using LiveUpdate

Description:

AntiVirus Software is required to be kept up-to-date with the most current protection against viruses. If the Clean Access Agent detects that your copy of Symantec AntiVirus is out of date, you will required to update it before accessing the network

.

You are currently being placed in a Temporary Role with limited network access to perform the necessary updates. Depending on which updates are missing, you may be required to perform several reboots.

McAfee AntiVirus Auto Update Instructions:

  1. Right click the blue and red McAfee Shield Logo in your Windows Taskbar (circled in red). If necessary click "<<" to view the McAfee icon.

  2. Choose the VirusScan Console option.

  3. In the VirusScan Console dialog box, right click the AutoUpdate icon and choose Properties.

  4. Click on Schedule in the VirusScan AutoUpdate Properties dialog box.

  5. Click on the Schedule tab.

  6. Under the Schedule Task drop down box, choose the At System Startup option.

  7. Choose to Delay task by 5 minutes.

  8. Click on Apply and OK to exit the Schedule Settings dialog box.

  9. Close the McAfee VirusScan Console window, return to the Clean Access Agent and click Next. If there are additional steps that need to be take before you can access the network, you will be given instructions on what to do.
