Other device Registration

This is for VoIP phones, Printers, or TiVo type machines.

Please allow up to 24-48 hours for the registration to take effect.

DO NOT REGISTER THE FOLLOWING DEVICES HERE:

  • COMPUTERS
  • PDAs
  • ROUTERS

You WILL NOT be able to get online if you register your computer here.

Video game consoles should be registered here ONLY if you cannot get them to connect automatically.

Important

You do not need to register your personal computer on this page.  More information on accessing ResNet with your personal computer can be found in the getting started guide.

This is where you can register other Internet enabled devices that do have the interface or capability to login to ResNet.  Some examples of such devices are:

  • Voice Over IP (VOIP) Phones
  • Tivo
  • Other network enabled PVR

All devices registered here will have the following ports blocked since they are not needed:

  • TCP :80
  • TCP :443
  • TCP :25
  • TCP :110

All other ports will be available.


Registration

  1. Make sure you have the MAC address of the device you want to register. You should refer to the device´s user manual or contact the manufacturer for information on how to get the MAC address.
  2. Make sure you have your UCINetID and password.
  3. Click on the link below to begin Login process.
